“Down to earth, reasonable leadership is what Kody can provide to Illinoisans that are tired of partisan politics. He is not afraid to make the choices that people need him to make, and he will bring a passion and empathy to people from his district that is so lacking in (so called) political leaders today.”
Brenda Foster, Teacher at Cumberland Middle School
I’m Independent candidate Kody Czerwonka, and I’m fighting to unseat Chris Miller so we can create a government of the people, by the people, and for the people again.
Kody was born and raised in Montrose, Illinois and attended Cumberland High School, Lake Land College, and Eastern Illinois University. Kody graduated from his high school class as Salutatorian in 2011 and has earned numerous degrees from Lake Land College and EIU. These include a B.S in Accounting with a minor in Psychology from EIU. An A.A.S. in Business Administration, A.A.S in Management, and A.A.S. in Marketing from Lake Land. Kody knows how to talk to people and knows how to find common ground to get things done- something we desperately need in Springfield.
In high school, Kody’s first job was at the local DQ. That is where his love of serving people began. Shortly after, he became the youngest supervisor for this particular DQ franchise. After starting Lake Land, Kody got into retail and worked at Sears in Mattoon at Cross County Mall. Once this Sears location closed. Kody continued his love of working with the public and was hired as Assistant Manager at rue21 in Effingham and promoted to Store Manager shortly after.
He currently works at West & Company in Mattoon but has always been interested in politics. When he noticed Chris Miller was running unopposed, he couldn’t continue sitting by. With Chris’s dangerous voting record and lack of representing the people of his district, Kody had no other choice but to run. Together, let’s elect Kody for District 110 State Representative.

Kody’s campaign is funded by the people and for the people. Any amount, no matter how small, is appreciated and will be used to defeat Chris Miller in the November election.
